Chapter nine

Tom

“You know, I’m just two guys short of a ' why choose' romance. Who’s game?”

Eden is so fucking weird, what on earth is she talking about now? Tony barks out a laugh, but the rest of us just stare at her like she is part of a traveling circus. While she is enthusiastic, I don’t get half of her jokes.

I wrap my arm around her. “I think that one fell flat, my dear Apple.”

Tony says under his breath, “Oh no, it didn’t.” Apparently, he is in on the joke.

She pats my chest. “Oh, it’s ok honey badger, I’ll tell you all about it later. Now, can everyone please leave my room? I’m not sure why four hot mafia men are hanging out here, but I would like to change into something other than this sweatshirt. Why are all of you here, anyway?”

I don’t know why, but I don’t want her to take it off. I thought Eden would have been dressed when we entered her room. I was hoping they would help me with redesigning the space once Eden moves into my room, but unfortunately ran into my brother trying to sleep with her, again. I won’t kill him over this, but he’s definitely making me consider it.

Just as I am about to excuse my uncle and cousin, Gio comes stomping in with an open bottle of vodka in hand. “Take it off, bella.”

Frowning, she replies, “Oh, for the love. I am not getting naked again, Gio!” My grip on her tightens. “What is with your family? Tony, can you please shed some light on this? You guys act like I am the crazy one, but you all obviously need to have your heads examined.”

Gio has it bad for this girl. He will definitely be trouble when I marry her. “Gio, will you please leave my fiancée alone?” To drive the point home, I pull Eden’s lips to mine. She doesn’t open for me like she did when she thought I was my brother, so I bite her bottom lip as punishment. Oh no… it’s not punishment. I just punished myself. Damn it. She’s delicious and moaning into my mouth. I want to bend her over the desk and take her right here. Gio pulls me off of her and his fist meets my face. Fuck, not again.

“Seriously? Can you guys ever get along?” Eden says as she examines my now incredibly sore cheek.

Gio shakes his head. “You expect me to sit here, with you wearing his shirt and his tongue down your throat?” I wrap my arm around Eden. With half the bottle gone, it’s only a matter of time before the vodka hits Gio, and he does something reckless.

“Um, yes? That’s the general idea. He is my fiancé after all. But don’t worry, future brother-in-law, there was no tongue. There’s family present after all. Gio, are you drunk?” Shit, she is actually going along with the whole marriage thing a little too eagerly. Though, she did seem excited at the prospect of leaving when we took her.
